APRIL. Spinner Rings.

APRIL. Spinner Rings.

A new class was introduced during the month of April: how to make spinner rings. There was quite a bit of interest! Ten people signed up for the class which was originally offered for up to four people. A couple of different techniques for forming the ring were presented, followed by texturing and soldering. The second session focused of cleaning up the main ring band using the club’s Foredom with a variety of accessories.

APRIL. Studio tour at Pam V’s was a Showstopper!

APRIL. Studio tour at Pam V’s was a Showstopper!

Our second studio tour was well attended and amazing, and then it turned into a relaxed social time in Pam's home. Pam’s interior design and architectural careers certainly help explain how she designed her 'playroom' for designing outstanding jewelry. Some people thrive on working in an unorganized state of confusion, but not Pam. Her workspace is like a well-designed kitchen requiring few steps, with labels everywhere! Her jewelry making interests began at Pima Community College after retirement here in Saddlebrooke. Refreshments were served (including Rebecca’s amazing cheese curds from Wisconsin!) and everyone stayed longer, enjoying Pam's home and getting to know fellow Club members. We are so glad our newer members are attending our events, as our socials are really for members to get to know everyone
